- Summary report
- Again this week the banks outfished the boats, although when favourable conditions allowed, catches of quality rainbows were recorded from drifting boats using dry fly tactics. An exceptional bag was reported from the bank to Newcastle rod Karl Humphries - 1 x 8lb+ brown, 1 x 6lb+ rainbow & 4 x 4lb+ rainbows in a bag of 10 fish all returned using floating line and buzzer tactics. With expected warmer conditions and the start of terrestrial hatches of hawthorn and even daddy long legs prospects are excellent.
